Betty Marie (Jones) Burnett

Mrs. Betty Marie Jones Burnett , age 84, daughter of the late Bill Nevil and Charlotte (Meadows) Jones was born on July 23, 1930 in Wayne County, Kentucky and departed this life on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Cumberland Nursing & Rehab. Other than her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband; Otto Verlin Burnett, a brother; Joe Walna Jones and one grandson; Ryan David Burnett. Betty is survived by four sons; Jerry (and Joyce) Burnett, James Michael (and Freddie) Burnett, Leslie Verlin Burnett all of Somerset, David Charles (and Alice) Burnett of Cookeville, TN, one daughter; Beverly (and Jerry) Case of LaGrange, KY, one brother; William Noland (and Lois) Jones of McDowell, California, two sisters; Rena Jones Coomer and Margie Jones Wright both of Somerset. Betty also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews who all mourn her passing. Betty was a homemaker and a member of Tabernacle Pentecostal Ministries in Somerset. She was a loving mother who enjoyed church, walking, and doing volunteer work at the library and churches. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 12 noon in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Betty Burnett will receive friends on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home.
