Mr. Robert C. Martin, of Somerset, Kentucky son of the late William E. and Hestar Jane Tucker Martin was born on December 28, 1927 in Wayne County, KY., and departed this life on Monday, September 1, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. having attained the age of 80.
Mr. Martin is survived by two Daughters; Jane Helton of Somerset, KY., and Shiela Wilson of Crawfordsville, IN., two Brothers; Estill (and Leona) Martin of Somerset, KY, Hillard (and Vena) Martin of Science Hill, KY., two Sisters; Velta Martin, and Beulah Martin both of Somerset, KY., four Brother-in-Laws; Paul Bolen of Bronston, KY., Joey (and Irene) Gholson of Amerest, OH., Steve (and Linda) Campbell of Indianapolis, IN., and Hulen (and Betty) Gholsen., two Son-in-Laws; Earl Sparks of Colfax, IN, and Gordon Vice of Michigan Town, IN. Mr. Martin is also survived be six Grandchildren; Bryan Vice, Jodie Helton, Shawn Hill, Shane Hill, Michele Doughty, and Tammy(and John) Clark., eight Great Grandchildren, and four Great-Great Grandchildren and host of other relatives that will mourn his passing.
Mr. Robert Martin is preceded in death by his first wife of 26 years; Betty Martin and his second wife of 25 years; Allene Martin. Robert is also preceded in death by a Son; Dale Martin, and a Daughter; Judy Sparks; three Brothers; Elza Martin, Pierce Martin, and Dorvil Martin; three sisters; Alma Daulton, Imogene Bolen, and infant Madeline, and one Grandson; Junior Sparks.
Mr. Martin was a truck driver for over 40 years and drove for Mr. Jim Stewart. He was a member of the Freedom Worship Center.
Funeral Services for Mr. Robert Martin will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 1:00p.m., at the Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort, IN. Burial will follow in the Clarks Hill Cemetery in Clarks Hill, IN.
The family of Mr. Martin will receive friends on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 6-9p.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, KY., and on Friday, September 5, 2008 from 4-7p.m. at the Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort, IN.
