Mr. William Wayne "WW" Correll, 80, Husband of Neva Jo (Apperson) Correll, of Correll Street Somerset, Ky. and the son of the late Charlie and Clora Hammond Correll, passed away Monday, December 5th, 2005 at his residence having attained the age of 80 years, 7 months and 16 days.
Other than his wife, he is survived by; one daughter, Jo Carol McAllister and her husband David of Morehead, KY; one son, Cary Blaine Correll of Somerset, KY; six brothers, Blaine Correll of Somerset, KY, Wendell Correll of Lancaster, KY, Ward Correll of Somerset, KY, Charles E. Correll of Somerset, KY, James Correll of California, and Richard Correll of Somerset, KY; three sisters, Charlcie Carlson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Mildred Brainard of Somerset, KY, and Kaye Lauteuri of Hialeah, FL; five grandchildren, Misty Harden and her husband Kevin of Sandy Hook , KY, Penelope Powell and her husband Larry of Lexington, KY, Jennifer Correll and Elizabeth Correll both of Nicholasville, KY and Bradley Correll of Somerset, KY; three great grandchildren, George Wayne Bridges III, Brandon Bridges and Taylor Harden all of Morehead, KY and one step-great grandchild, Michael Powell of Lexington, KY.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by; one son, Gary Wayne Correll, one grandchild, Michael W. Correll; one brother, Mr. Ray Correll and two sisters, Carol Correll and Beulah Farley.
Mr. Correll was affiliated with Correll Auto Sales and was a tremendous historian, he was just recently honored at Thanksgiving by his brothers and sisters for his updated genealogy on the Correll family. He was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church, and a World War II Navy Veteran. He was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who both mourn his passing and celebrate his home going.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 09, 2005 at the Oak Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Harold Brown, Rev. Wendell Correll and Rev. Dan Brown officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery with Military honors conducted by the American Legion Post # 38
