Morrison Dempsey Stogsdill

October 28, 1938 — December 16, 2005

Mr. Morrison Dempsey "Blue" Stogsdill, son of the late Paul and Lucy Whitaker Stogsdill, was born at Shopville, KY on October 20, 1938 and departed this life on Friday, December 16, 2005 having attained the age of 67 years. Survivors include his wife Mildred Simpson Stogsdill whom he married on June 27, 1969. Other survivors include; four step-children, Cecil (and Precilla) Stogsdill, Bonnie Soard, J.T. (and Sue) Stogsdill and Gaitha Flynn; three brothers, Colin, Winston, and Cooper Stogsdill; a sister, Susan Stogsdill; four nephews, Mark, Bryan, Ryan, and Jason Stogsdill; 12 step grandchildren; 10 step-great grandchildren; and a step-great great grandchild. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by; a sister, Ileta Stogsdill; four brothers, Vernon, Gaines, Seivers, and Arnold Stogsdill; and a half brother, Tamen Erp. Dempsey served in the U. S. Army. He was a Veteran, a retired flagman for the highway department, and a member of the Rock Lick Baptist Church. He adhered to the Baptist Faith and was baptized on November 15, 1981. He was a kind person who will be missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. David Morris officiating. Burial was held following the services at the Randall - Herrin Cemetery. Pulaski Funeral Home was entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
