Mr. William Vanover Jr. , age. 90 of Burnside, son of the late Emily (Wooton) and William Vanover Sr. was born on March 11, 1924 in Leslie County, Kentucky and departed this life on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Other than his parents William was preceded in death by his loving wife; Bonnie Jean Vanover, four brothers; Clayton, Roscoe, Dan and Elvin Vanover, and three sisters; Florence Lewis, Lillian Delph, and Ruth Pennington.
William is survived by six sons; William Vanover lll. of Somerset KY, Terry Vanover and wife Linda of Burnside, KY, Michael Vanover and wife Roxann of Vandalia, OH, Gary Vanover and wife Nancy of Tipp City, OH, Lonnie Vanover and wife Robin of Englewood, OH, Tim Vanover and wife Nancy of Vandalia, OH. Three Daughters; Carol Whitaker of Burnside, KY, Emma Shumaker and husband Denny of Somerset, KY, Patty Vranesic and husband Tom of Englewood, OH. 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 11 great, great, grandchildren and countless nieces, nephews, family and friends
William was a member of Neeleys Creek Baptist Church and retired from Harris Graphics of Dayton, OH. He loved bowling, fishing, hunting and gardening.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Harlan Ogle officiating. Burial will follow in the Sloans Valley Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Vanover will receive friends on Saturday, June 28, 2014 after 11:00 a.m. until time for services at Pulaski Funeral Home.
