Mr. Wm. Robert "Big Bob" "Pops" Boon

Mr. William Robert “Big Bob” “Pops” Boon II, son of the late William Robert Boon, Sr. and the late Estelle F. Petrovich Boon, was born September 18, 1941 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and raised in Hicksville, OH, and he went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 7, 2014 having attained the age of 72 years. He was united in marriage to “Stevie” L. Cromwell Boon, she preceded him in death. Survivors include, one son, William Robert “Bob” Boon, III and his wife Paula of Somerset, Kentucky; one daughter, Teresa (and Ricardo) Nault of Zionsville, Indiana; a special companion, Ellie Masterson of Somerset, Kentucky; four grandchildren, D. T. (and Amber) Boon, Tiffany (and Richard) Stephens, Lily Nault and Raymond Nault; four great grandchildren, Lyla Boon, Walker Stephens, Tinsley Boon and Benjamin Stephens; and one brother, John Boon of Toledo, Ohio and his beloved dog, Sadie Mae. “Big Bob” was retired from International Harvester, where he worked with Plant Security and Fire Protection. He was a kind Christian gentleman who was also a very devoted Ohio State Buckeye supporter. He had served our county in the Navy having enlisted in 1959. Among his other likes and interests were support of his church and being around both his relatives and church family, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a kind person who enjoyed life, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He leaves a host of relatives and friends who both mourn his passing and celebrate his home going. A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Eagle Heights Church.
