Mr. Creston Vaught

Mr. Creston E. Vaught, son of the late Sam P. and Helen Doolin Vaught, was born at Bobtown, Kentucky on March 3, 1928 and he departed this life on Monday, May 26, 2014 in Somerset, Kentucky having attained the age of 86 years. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Pauline McWilliams Vaught, she survives. Other survivors include; two daughters, Darveeta Dietrich and Denise (and Gary) Gover all of Somerset, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Teri Gover of Berea, Kentucky, Michael (and Jessica) Gover of Somerset, Kentucky, and Crestene Dietrich of Orange park, Florida; and three great grandchildren, John, Jordan and Annabelle; two sisters, Virginia Spears, and Midge (and Bill) Dye of Somerset, Kentucky and two brothers, Donald (and Joyce) Vaught of Waynesburg, Kentucky and James Vaught of Kettering, Ohio. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by; one brother, Sammy Vaught; one sister, Berniece Price; and three brothers-in-law, Roger Rimer, Jim Price, and Jack Spears. Creston was a member of the Beacon Hill Baptist Church and the Burnside Masonic Lodge. After graduating from Eubank High School in 1946, he joined the Air Force and served three years. Following his time in the service, he and Pauline lived in Dayton, Ohio for 43 years, while living there, he was employed by McCall Printing and raised their family. They moved back to Somerset, Kentucky in 1993 after retiring. He loved to work in the shop and make candle boxes, and build bird houses. Creston loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon, May 30, 2014 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Donovan Burton officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodstock Cemetery. The family of Mr. Creston Vaught will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 until time for services. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Creston Vaught.
