Mrs. Nina E. Blevins

Mrs. Nina E. Blevins, 92, of Somerset, KY passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 in the Hospice of Lake Cumberland, Jean Waddle Care Center. Born on December 31, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Henry Jackson and Coatney E. Wilson Girdler of the Pleasant Hill Community. She was united in marriage to Mr. Hoy V. Blevins, he preceded her in death. Survivors include; one son, John V. Blevins and his wife Brenda; one daughter, Sue Bocock and her husband Gordon; two grandchildren, Derrick Jackson Blevins and Christy Bocock Woodall and her husband Jamie; one great granddaughter, Morgan Woodall; one brother, Brent  Girdler and his wife Joyce and two sisters-in-law, Mildred and Marie Girdler. Other than her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brothers; Henry, Ed, and Roy Girdler and the following sisters; Lucy Girdler, Nora Neikirk, Oma Pence and Lena McPheron. Nina was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, she was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Nina Blevins will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Monday Morning, April 21, 2014 until time for services at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the following; Oneida Bible Institute  P.O.
