Omer Alan Snell, age 92, went to be with his Lord April 16, 2014.
He was born March 31, 1922 to the late Lee and Betty Phelps Snell.
He was married to Elizabeth Sears on January 23, 1946 and she preceded him in death on June 24, 2007.
He was a faithful member of East Somerset Baptist Church until his health declined.
He was a grocer in his earlier years and then retired after a long career with Kerns Bakery. He was a route salesman and worked in their local bread store.
Survivors include two children, Lynn (and Cindy) Snell and Sondra (and David Price); three grandchildren, Scott (and Melody) Price, Greg (and Gretchen) and Jordan (and Sheena) Mann; four great grandchildren; Jarred Price, Felicity Price, Liza Jane Price, McKynlee Mann, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sisters, Bessie Phelps (Clifton), Kathleen Edwards (Clemon), nieces and nephews, Jetta Edwards, Ray Edwards, Michael Edwards, Shirley Gossett, and Gerald Phelps.
We appreciate the great care and compassion he has from 2nd floor nurses at Somerset Nursing and Rehab and the Jean Waddle Care Center.
The funeral services honoring the life of Omer A. Snell will be on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Darvie Fenison officiating.
Visitation will be Friday, April 18, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home.
Burial will be held on Monday, April 21, 2013 in the Mill Springs National Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 honor guard.
