Mr. Howard Mounce

Mr. Howard Mounce, 63, of Somerset, KY passed away on March 11, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Henry Arvil and Edith Childers Mounce on October 19, 1950 in Piney Grove. Howard was retired custodian of Pulaski Elementary school. He was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church #1. He enjoyed riding with his daughter on his four wheeler, the side by side, going fishing, enjoyed watching and traveling with his son when racing open wheel cars on dirt tracks, and tinkering in his garage. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lois Price Mounce and a son, Kevin Wayne Mounce, a daughter, Amy Jo Mounce Hamilton and her husband Jim, a step-grandson, Christopher “Munchkin” Hamilton and a mother-in-law, Kathleen Randall Price all of Somerset, Kentucky, who mourn his passing and will treasure the many wonderful memories they made with him. He is also survived by two sisters, Joyce D. Mounce and Margie Lee Mize, both of Somerset, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly. Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Lowell J. Price and one brother, Harold (and Wanda) Mounce, one sister, Mary (and Frank) Baker and a brother-in-law, Sidgle Lee Hargis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday March 14, 2014 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Kennedy officiating.  Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Baptist Church #1 Cemetery. The family of Mr. Howard Mounce will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
