Minnie D. Thompson, daughter of the late Clyde and Martha Dalton Thompson, was born at Mintonville, KY on May 28, 1936 and she departed this life on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 having attained the age of 77.
She was united in marriage for 58 years to Mr. Frank Thompson, he survives. Other survivors include; two sons, Frank Thompson of Alabama and Rodger Thompson of Somerset, KY; three daughters, Patricia (and Bruce) Fagan of Nashville, TN, Pamela (and Chris) Scott of Nashville, TN and Paula (and Kevin) Kennedy of Somerset, KY; four sisters, Luramie Powers of Taylor, Michigan, Lorene Vaught of Vaught Ridge, KY, Helen Jones of Somerset, KY and Beulah Jones of Amherst, OH; and three grandchildren; Sarah Thompson, Laura Scott, and Kayla Thompson.
Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mae Russell, Lizzie Jones, and Loretta Jones, and one brother, George Dalton.
Minnie was Commander of the 5th District Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and enjoyed Sewing, and Quilting, and she was a member of the Mintonville Methodist Church. She was a kind lady who enjoyed her friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Donovan Burton and Rev. Phil Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mrs. Minnie Thompson will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Friday morning until time for services.
In lieu of flowers family request expressions of sympathy be made to the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
