Janet Owens

Mrs. Janet Owens, the daughter of Chester Combs and the late Janice Gayheart Combs, was born October 11, 1959 in Hazard, Kentucky and she departed this life on Monday, February 24, 2014 in Somerset, Kentucky having attained the age of 54 years. Survivors include; four children, Trevor Owens (and Donna Marie Couch) of Leslie County, Kentucky, Tori Owens (and Mark Couch) of Perry County, Kentucky, Aseyk Wake (and Savanna Mize) of Perry County, KY and Cameron Owens (and Kimbar Gieseking) of Pulaski County, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Marcus, Brittany, Hunter, Gavin, Cobi, Taylor, Tommy, Jenneveve, and Autumn and two brothers, Stan and Troy Ackerman. Janet was a truck driver for several years for Swift Transport, she enjoyed her children, and grandchildren more than life itself. She was a fun loving person and always the life of the party, she was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by her family and friends and leaves a host of relatives who will mourn her passing. Funeral services for Janet Owens will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Johnny Lunsford officiating. The family of Mrs. Janet Owens will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until time for services.
