Mr. Ralph C. "Red" McPheron

June 4, 1922 — February 19, 2014

Mr. Ralph C. “Red” McPheron, son of the late Allen Patrick and Lilly Audra Hail McPheron, was born on Sunday, June 4, 1922 in Calvin, KY and he departed this life on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 having attained the age of 91 years, 8 months and 15 days. He is survived by Maxine Hall McPheron after 72 years of marriage. Other survivors include two children; his daughter, Ginger McPheron (and Larry Sears) and his son, Jason (and Charlotte) McPheron all of Somerset, Kentucky; two grandchildren, April (and Dr. Natarajan) Thannoli and Joe(and Sarah Giles) McPheron also of Somerset, KY; six great grandchildren, Jacob, Nikas, Rylan, Ridge, Hayley, and Jayden. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by; four brothers and one sister. Ralph was the former owner and manager of Pulaski Block and Tile. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Somerset Country Club as well as the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was also a Mason and a member of the Olieka Shrine Temple, he was a christian and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed golfing, camping and the outdoors. Ralph will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hines officiating. Burial will follow in the Somerset Cemetery. The family of Mr. Ralph C. “Red” McPheron will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 12:00 noon Saturday until time for services. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
