Lila L. Maynard

Lila Lee Maynard, 75, of Somerset, KY went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 18, 2014. She was born November 15, 1938 in Betsy Layne, KY to Robert and Lillian Layne. She grew up in Betsy Layne and graduated from Betsy Layne High School. Lila was a member of Ringgold Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of K-mart in Somerset Kentucky. In January 1960 she married Harvey Gene Maynard. In addition to her husband she is survived by four children, Juanita Kidd, Harvey G Maynard Jr.(Carol), Bridget Whitaker (Barry), Bobby Maynard (Dorinda), nine grandchildren, Kathryn Woolley, Dustin Winchester (Maria), Tyler Kidd (Iesha), Jonathon Eldon, Cameron Maynard, Lauren Maynard, Benjamin Whitaker, Logan Maynard and Caden Maynard. Four Great-Grandchildren Aidan Woolley, Lila Reese, Lyric Woolley, and Keira Kidd. Three sisters Jane Ratliff (Raymond) of Prestonsburg, Ky, Patricia Hall of Logansport In, Jeanette Layne of Betsy Layne Ky and a brother William Layne (Dorothy) of Harold Ky. She also leaves a life-long friend Nancy Marcum of Allen Ky. Lila also leaves two Samantha Clark and Jamie Ratcliff, two nephews Michael Hall, Brian Layne, and Mike Walsh. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husbands parents, Harvey and Lorena Maynard, a brother- in -law, Claude Hall, and a sister -in-law Barbara Walsh. Visitation will be at Pulaski Funeral Home, Somerset Ky on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 6-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Pulaski Funeral Home at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs Cemetery, Nancy Ky. Donations may be made to Ringgold Baptist Church in Lila’s memory.
