Lovie Ann Ping Gossett, age 87, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away February 6, 2014 at the Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.
She was born May 29, 1926 daughter of the late George Harrison and Sarah Elizabeth Prather Ping.
She was untied in marriage to Mr. William A. Gossett on July 24, 1943, he preceded her in death in May of 1979. Survivors include three sons, Juil & Scotty Noe and Lowell and Minnie Gossett of Somerset, Kentucky, and Eugene and Norma Jean Gossett of Monticello, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Other than her parents, and husband, she was also preceded in death by; 2 sons, Elmer and Orville; one grandson, Donnie Noe; 7 brothers, Charlie Franklin, William Clarence, James Arthur, Vola Green, Harrison Lee, Robert and Andrew Jackson Ping; and 3 sisters, Flonnie May Ping, Othia Mary Mayfield and Ilena Mayfield.
Lovie was a homemaker and a kind lady who loved her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9. 2014 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Griffith and Bro. David Muse officiating. Burial will follow in the Pitman Creek Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Lovie Gossett will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014.
