James "Jim" Sowder

James R. “Jim” Sowder, the son of James “Jack” and Marie Bates Sowder, of Piney Grove Road Somerset, was born on May 14, 1956, and he departed this life on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 having attained the age of 52 years. Survivors include his parents; two sons, Brian (and Crystal) Sowder and James Kelley Sowder all of Somerset, KY; two daughters, Sara Sowder of Louisville, KY and Wesley Elizabeth Sowder of Somerset, KY; one sister, Donna Marie (and Bim) Eaton of Somerset, KY; one niece Deana Marie Eaton of Somerset, KY and two former wives, Marilyn Hazel Sowder and Donna Wesley Sowder, and a large host of other relatives and friends who mourn his passing. When he was able, Jim worked as a maintenance man for the Kroger Company, and he was also a member of the Richmond Chapter of the Peacemakers Motorcycle Club; A member of the Rock Lick Baptist Church and a 1974 graduate of Shopville High School. Jim was also an Air Force veteran. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rock Lick Cemetery. The family of Mr. James R. “Jim” Sowder will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2008 at the Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mr. James R. “Jim” Sowder.
