Betty E. Godbey

Mrs. Betty E. Godbey, age 81, of Somerset, Kentucky daughter of the late Mitchel and Beatrice (Wesley) Butt was born in Somerset, Kentucky on November 17, 1932 and departed this life on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center. She was united in marriage to Mr. Estill “Satch” Godbey Jr., he preceded her in death. She is survived by one daughter; Michelle S. Godbey of Somerset, Kentucky, one brother; Rondal (Phyllis) Butt of Tennessee, one sister; Hollis Gleason of Somerset, Kentucky, three nieces; Debra (Darrell) Lyons of Somerset, Kentucky, Rhonda (Eddie) Baker of Tennessee and Melanie (Jim) Massa also of Tennessee. Betty was a bookkeeper for Somerset Automotive and a member of Duke Memorial Baptist Church. She loved collecting antiques, refinishing furniture and painting. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. David Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Science Hill Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Betty E. Godbey will receive friends on Saturday, January 18, 2014 after 10:00 a.m. until time for services at Pulaski Funeral Home.
