Beulah Catherine Edwards Jones, 95, of Somerset, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.
Beulah was born on July 7, 1918 to the late D.C. and Pearl Snell Edwards of Dykes, Kentucky. She married Earl Edward Jones Sr. of Mt. Victory on June 10, 1936. They had six children, 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She read her Bible every morning and was a longtime member of the Mt. Victory Christian Church where she attended as long as her health permitted. She was a retired seamstress of Palm Beach Company, she loved to cook, garden, and be by Earl’s side at the sawmill or just “going to the country”. She enjoyed quilting and crafts and just having family get-togethers and reunions. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
She is survived by 3 sons; David (Edna) Jones, W.N. (Pearlie) Jones, Earl Edward Jr. (Carleen) Jones, 2 daughters; Gailya (Norris) Whitaker, Kathy (Larry) Morgan and son-in-law James Mize, 14 grandchildren; Dylan (Connie) Jones, Barry (Bridget) Whitaker, Roger Jones, Billy (Judy) Jones, Sheila (Danny) Ramsey, Kevin (Sherri) Jones, Laura (Jason) Todd, Lynelle Wood, Jeanette Stringer, Noreen (Paul) Bekish, Christi (Jason) Burkhead, Jamie (Billy) Bolin, Holly (George) Zachos, Tracy (Matthew) Phillips, sister-in-law; Helen Ruth Edwards and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter; Freida Mize, a daughter-in-law; Kathryn Prows Jones and a grandchild: Julie Jones, 5 brothers; Bishop, Virgil, Ray, Elmer, Ira Edwards, 3 sisters; Mae Whitis, Carrie Jenkins and Thelma Worrell.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. David Paddick and Bro. Stanley Sears officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Beulah Catherine Edwards Jones will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2014 after 6 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Jones, Barry Whitaker, Roger Jones, Billy Jones, Kevin Jones and Danny Ramsey. Honorary pallbearers are Darren Jones and Andrew Jones.
In lieu of flowers family request expression of sympathy be made to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland, Southern Heights Christian Church and/or Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
