Oveline Sumner

Mrs. Oveline Sumner, age 85 of Somerset, Kentucky daughter of the late Piercy and Mable (Ballenger) Waddle was born in Alcalde, Kentucky on October 11th, 1928 and departed this life on Friday, December 27th, 2013 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab. Oveline was united in marriage to Willie “Bill” Sumner on April 24th, 1948, he survives. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Haynes. She is survived by two sisters; Barbara Hall of Somerset and Ora “Tooter” Higginbotham of Somerset; two nephews; Brad (Missy) Hall of Somerset and Joey (Donna) Hall of Somerset. One niece; Julie (Lee) Taylor of Castle Rock, Colorado. Three great-nephews; Aaron Hall, Riley Hall, and Ben Taylor. One great-niece; Chelsea Taylor and a host of relatives and friends who all mourn her passing. Oveline was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church in Somerset, Kentucky. She enjoyed animals, spending time with her cats, children, and baking. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 31st, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Stacey and Bro. Jason Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Oveline Sumner will receive friends on Monday, December 30, 2013 after 6:00 p.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements.
