Odena Meece

Mrs. Odena Meece, age. 81 of Somerset, Kentucky daughter of the late George Alfred and Ida Jane (Tomlinson) Ping was born in Somerset, Kentucky on March 29, 1932 and departed this life on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Other than her parents Odena was preceded in death by her husband; Jermiah Robert Meece who passed away on March 31, 2013, two brothers; Dewey Ping, Wanda Lee Ping and one sister; Geneva (Ping) Snow. She is survived by one son; Jerry (and Martha) Meece of White Lily, Kentucky, two brothers; Bob (and Wanda) Ping of Science Hill, Kentucky, Lawrence Ping of Ohio, two grandchildren; Cierra and Jacob Meece. Odena also leaves behind a very special niece; Joyce Slover and several family and friends who all mourn her passing. Odena was a homemaker and a member of White Lily Baptist Church, she loved cooking and sewing. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Ernest Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the White Lily Baptist Church Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Odena Meece will receive friends on Monday, December 30, 2013 after 6:00 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland and/or the White Lily Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
