James L. Gadberry
James (Jim) L. Gadberry, 82, of Nancy, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on February 7, 1931, to the late Otha and Flona New Gadberry. He was a journeyman operator for the McCall’s Corporation for many years in Dayton, Ohio. He then became a cabinet maker in Pulaski County and retired from Cumberland Wood and Chair in 2003. He was a member of Sardis Methodist Church. He enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.
His wife of 64 years, Ruby Blankenship Gadberry survives. Other survivors include son, Wayne (Penny) Gadberry; daughter, Shirley (Dale) Henderson; son, Jerry (Pauletta) Gadberry; and son, Joey (Whitney) Gadberry. He is also survived by grandchildren, Scott (Lisa) Gadberry, Tara Gadberry, Lucas Gadberry, Lindsey Gadberry, Michael (Kim) Henderson, Cori (Chris) Smallwood, Megan (Tim) Miller, Paige Gadberry, Tanner Gadberry, Taylor Ruby, Raegan Ruby and Chaney Ruby. Ten great-grandchildren also survive him. Also surviving is sister, Geneva (John) Bloomer, sister, Maxine Crawford, and brother, Glen (Wanzie) Gadberry.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Lou Gadberry and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Gadberry.
Visitation for James L. Gadberry will be Sunday at 6 PM at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home. His funeral will be held on Monday, November 18th at 10 AM with Mike Coppersmith and Chris Jasper officiating. Burial will be Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mr. James Gadberry.
