Ben W. Johnson Jr.

Mr. Ben W. Johnson, Jr., son of the late Ben W. Johnson, Sr. and Arminnie Combs Johnson, was born January 15, 1925 and he departed this life on Saturday, November 2, 2013 having attained the age of 88 years. He was united in marriage for 44 years to Mrs. Mary Ann Lee Johnson, she survives. Other survivors include; two step-children, Joel Dowlen of Burnside, Kentucky and Carryn Lee of Danville, Kentucky; three sisters, Lettie (and Dallas) Cummins of Science Hill, Kentucky, Peggy Boyatt of Bushnell, Florida and Bobbe Beauchamp Palm Court, Florida and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives who mourn his passing. Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by; one brother, Charles Lynn Johnson, and one sister, Alene Joyce Johnson. Ben was the owner of Lakeview Twin Drive – In for 27 years. He loved old movies and the Price is Right, he also enjoyed traveling. He was a member of the Science Hill United Methodist Church and was a kind person who will be missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Science Hill United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013 with Bro. David Greene officiating.
