Mrs. Sylvia Goldie Dalton, daughter of the late Homer and Desda Dema Dalton Dye, was born at Mintonville, KY on October 24, 1929 and she departed this life on October 25, 2013 having reached the age of 84 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Earnest Dalton, he survives. Other survivors include; two sons, Norman (and Mary Dalton and Linville (and Crystal) Dalton all of Eubank, KY; one daughter, Elaine (and Edward) Ramsey of Lafayette, IN; one brother, William Claude (and Allene) Dye of Somerset, KY; eight grandchildren, Nathaniel and Jonathan Dalton, Seth and Thomas Dalton, Rowen “Ray” Ramsey, Vivian Ramsey, Brenda Lynn Ramsey and Angela Ramsey; and eight great grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one great grandchild, and two brothers, George "Rad" Dye and Charles "Edsel" Dye.
She was a loving ministers wife, loving mother and she enjoyed farming. She was a member of the Crab orchard Community Worship Church of God. She was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Heritage Hope Church of God with Earnest Dalton and Linville Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Science Hill Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Sylvia Goldie Dalton will receive friends at the Heritage Hope Church of God after 5:00 p.m. Monday October 28, 2013.
