James Crowe

Mr. James Crowe, age 84 of Somerset, son of the late Anna Hubble and Ben Crowe was born on March 5, 1929 in Kentucky and departed this life on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at his residence in the presence of his family. Mr. Crowe is survived by his loving wife of 60 years; Faye Crowe, 5 sons; Ben (and Janie) Crowe of Somerset, Kentucky, Charlie (and Patsy) Crowe of Canton, Georgia, Kenny (and Phyllis) Crowe Somerset, Kentucky, Richard (and Karen) Crowe of Somerset, Kentucky, Gerald (and Libby) Crowe of Somerset, Kentucky, 2 daughters; Libby Beebe of Somerset, Kentucky and Jamie Selter of Henderson, Kentucky. Mr. Crowe is also survived by 16 grandchildren; Stacy Burrell, Mike Crowe, Justin Crowe, Justin Crowe, Allison Davidson, J.R. Crowe, Amanda Markham, Chris Crowe, Casey Crowe, Holly Polk, Melissa Crowe, Rebecca Beebe, Sara Beebe, Jessica Beebe, Kotey Crowe, Andrew Selter, and Anna Selter, 12 great-grandchildren. Other than her parents Mr. Crowe was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Boyd Crowe, Joe Crowe, 1 sister; Evelyn Sowder, 1 grandson; Kevin Crowe, 1 great-granddaughter; Madelyn Crowe and 2 son-in-laws; Fred Beebe and Ron Selter. Mr. Crowe was retired from Kentucky Utilities and was active in the 4-H, FFA Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, Kentucky Vegetable Growers, Hunter Education Program and the Somerset Outdoorsman Club. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2013 in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. David Pendley officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery in Science Hill, Kentucky. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 honor guard. The family of Mr. James Crowe will receive friends on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Kevin J. Crowe Scholarship Fund or Hospice of Lake Cumberland envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be handling all arrangements for Mr. James Crowe.
