Linda Randall Newton

Linda Randall Newton, age 60, of Somerset, KY departed this life on Friday, May 16, 2008. She was born on September 2, 1947 in Somerset, KY, to the late Elwin “Pete” and Geneva Randall. She retired from Somerset Independent Schools as Finance Officer. She was a member and pianist at the Science Hill United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband; John Newton; one son, Kevin (and Becky) Newton of Somerset, KY; two grandchildren, Abigal Elizabeth and Joshua Daniel Newton; two sisters, Sue (and Luid) Gover and Rhonda (and Doug) Denney; one brother, James (and Linda) Randall and numerous special aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Linda was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Science Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Watts and Rev. Allen Moran officiating. Burial will follow in the Science Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Science Hill United Methodist Church from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2008. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
