Madge Stamper

Madge Louise Stamper, daughter of the late Rufus and Nellie Bitner, died Wednesday, September 25th, at the University Heights Health & Living Community in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born on March 22, 1918, in Greene County Tennessee, and was raised in Lincoln County Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Eugene Grant Stamper, and her son, James Freeman Stamper. She is survived by two sisters, Macy Stonecypher and Gladys Ryan; two children, Donna Kay Smith and Richard Stamper; seven grandchildren, James Stamper, Julie Stamper Phelps, Shawn Richards, Jennifer Hussung, Sheryl Smith, Grant Stamper, and Mathias Stamper; and thirteen great-grandchildren, Alison Miller, Hugh Stamper, Henry Stamper, Elizabeth Phelps, Gwyn Phelps, Bailey Julian, David Richards, Kaitlynn Richards, Austin Taylor, Garrett Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Ally Hussung, and Kenna Hussung. A graveside memorial service will be held at the Double Spring Cemetery in Waynesburg, KY, at 11am on Monday, September 30th. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Madge Stamper.
