Mrs. Christine Gilliam

Christine Gilliam, daughter of the late Burnam and Ida Mae Rhodus, was born in Richmond, Kentucky on October 7, 1922, and she departed this life on Saturday, September 21, 2013 having attained the age of 90 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Harold Gilliam, he preceded her in death. Survivors include; two children, Harold Lloyd (and Violet) Gilliam and Ida Jane (and Bobby) Joslin. Also surviving is one brother, Earl Rhodus and one sister, Virginia Clark, and 17 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three daughters, Wanda Lou Prewitt, Dorothy Sublet, and Betty Perkins; two grandchildren; two brothers, Price and Carl Rhodus, and two sisters, Molly King and Agnes Purcell. Christine enjoyed quilting, reading and crocheting. She was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Somerset, KY. She was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host off relatives and friends who mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Gilliam will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with rev. Joe Cox, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens in Lexington, KY. The family of Mrs. Christine Gilliam will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Christine Gilliam.
