Mrs. Lois Delk Lane

March 30, 1918 — September 14, 2013

Lois (Delk) Lane was born at Ingle, KY on March 30, 1918 and she departed this life on September 14, 2013, at the age of 95 years. She was the first child of William E. "Buddy" Delk and Wanda Brown Delk, and was later joined by a sister Edith and a brother Herman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister and brother. She is survived by her son Dr. Roger and daughter-in-law Gwyn Lane, her grand-daughter, Heidi and her husband Jason Middleton, her great-granddaughter Piper Elizabeth Middleton, a sister-in-law Mae Delk, and many wonderful nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved. She made beautiful crocheted pieces, loved gardening and always loved a good book. She married Henry lane in September of 1940, and one year later they welcomed their son, Dennis Roger Lane. They lived in Valparaiso, Indiana during their working years and retired back to Ingle in 1976 for retirement and enjoyed seven more years together until Henry's sudden passing in 1983. She, along with her sister, Edith, cared for both their parents during their final years. Lois will be remembered as a fine lady who loved her Lord, loved her family and her friends, and her passing will be mourned by all who knew her. The family of Lois Delk Lane will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time for funeral services at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Pulaski Funeral Home, with Rev. Seth Tidball and Roger Lane M. D. officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Lois Delk Lane.
