Mrs. Gertrude (Burgin) Hall, age 90, of Somerset, daughter of the late “Bud” and Macie (McPheron) Burgin was born on July 30, 1923 in Somerset, Kentucky and departed this life on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center. She was united in marriage on June 22, 1946 to her husband; Glenn W. Hall, he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by the following siblings; Mary Burgin Burton, Charlie Burgin, Arnold Burgin, “Doc” Burgin, Raymond Burgin, V.K. Burgin, Jackie Burgin and Buddy Burgin. Gertrude is survived by one son; Doyle (and Doris) Hall of Somerset, Kentucky, one daughter; Kaye (and Richard) Horsfall of Franklin, Tennessee, four grandchildren; Daisha Hall of Lexington, Kentucky, Daniel (and Sarah) Hall of Somerset, Kentucky, Trey (and Haley) Horsfall of Franklin, Tennessee, Katie (and Ryan) Karl of Spring Hill, Tennessee, three great-grandchildren; Gunner Hall of Somerset, Kentucky, Aiden Karl and Asher Karl both of Spring Hill, Tennessee and a host of other relatives and friends who all mourn her passing. Gertrude was a member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church and was retired from the Oakwood Training Facility in Somerset, Kentucky. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Dunbar and Bro. Paul Hines officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Gertrude Hall will receive friends on Monday, August 12, 2013 after 6 p.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Gertrude Hall.
