Mr. Alwyn Keeney passed away at Eastgate CareSprings in Ohio on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the age of 91.
Alwyn is survived by his loving wife of 62 years; Geraldine Stephens Keeney.
Alwyn was preceded in death by his parents; Charles Perkins and Cordelia Francis Keeney. Alwyn was born in Ruth, Kentucky on September 7, 1921. He entered the army and served in World War II. After leaving the army he married Geraldine Stephens on August 3, 1951. He worked at General Motors in Norwood, Ohio for 30 years. Upon his retirement, they returned to live in Somerset, Kentucky. He spent the last 3 ½ years at Eastgate CareSprings in Ohio.
Alwyn is also survived by his sister-in-law; Mae Ross, brother-and sister-in-law; Cordell and Betty Lou Stephens, brother-and sister-in-law; Paul and Francis King, son and daughter-in-law; Dewayne and Cheryl Keeney, grandchildren; Beth Sneed, Becky Miller, Christi Keeney and Curtis Keeney, and great-grandchildren; Chanz Miller and Paksenarrion and Cadence Sneed. He also is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
Funeral services will be held at Pulaski Funeral Home on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Rodney Haggard officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Alwyn Keeney will receive friends after 12 noon on Monday, August 12, 2013 until time for services at Pulaski Funeral Home.
