Mr. Paul Mace, age 88, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on July 8, 2013 at his residence.
He was born February 20, 1925 in Spencer, West Virginia to the late Sam and Ruby Blosser Mace.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Filhour Mace, whom he has been united in marriage with for 54 years; two sons, Steven (and Marsha) Mace of North Ridgeville, Ohio and Martin (and Jennie) Mace of Bay Village, Ohio; two daughters, Ellen (and Brad) Lessem of Arlington, Texas and Paula Perry of Somerset, KY; also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Paul was a member of the Somerset First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed singing in the choir, living in Somerset, his two dogs, a cat, and all of his flowers. He retired from General Motors of Parma, Ohio. He also taught an adult Sunday School Class while in Ohio. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and his first wife.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Somerset First United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Spitzer officiating, burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery. The family of Mr. Paul Mace will receive friends at the Somerset First United Methodist Church from 11:00 a.m. Friday until time for services.
Military Honors will be conducted by American legion Post # 38 Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Somerset First United Methodist Church.
