March 16, 1946 — July 1, 2013

Mrs. Sharon J Oursler, age 67, of Somerset, Kentucky, daughter of Lillian Geneva (Marr) and the late James Edwin Jones was born on March 16, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky and departed this life on Monday, July 1, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Other than her father Sharon was preceded in death by her sister: Bonnie Korfhagel. Besides her mother Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 47 years: David Oursler, one son: Derek (and Melissa) Oursler, two daughters: Amy (and Denny) Walters, Beth (and Brody) Thomas all of Somerset, Kentucky, one brother: Bill Jones of Louisville, Kentucky, and one sister: Kim Hall of Floyd Knobs, Indiana. Sharon also leaves behind 8 precious grandchildren: Justin and Patrick Oursler, Lucas and Chloe Walters, Macy, Cooper, Keeley and Dayne Thomas and host of relatives and friends who all mourn her passing. Sharon grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and graduated from Butler High School and also attended Eastern Kentucky University. She was a retired Teachers Aid from Hopkins Elementary and attended First Baptist Church and loved her Sunday School Class “Friends of Faith”. Sharon loved playing cards, golfing, and most of all her grandkids. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Dr. French Harmon officiating. A private burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky. The family of Mrs. Sharon J. Oursler will receive friends on Friday, July 5, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until time for services. In lieu of flowers family request expressions of sympathy be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be handling all arrangements for Mrs. Sharon J. Oursler.
