Mr. Charles Albert Williams, son of the late Halleck and Jessie Fisher Williams, was born on August 2, 1925 and he departed this life on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital having attained the age of 82 years.
He was united in marraige to Mrs. Rita Roudebush Williams, she survives. Other survivors include; two children, Denise (and Jeff) Salter nas Cathy (and Glenn) Lenox all of Somerset, KY; five grandchildren, David Salter of Sheveport, LA, Julie (and Jack) Moers of Horn Lake, MS, Scott (and Liz) Lenox of Nashville, TN, Sharon Lenox of Somerset, KY and John (and Megan) Lenox of Somerset, KY; Jacob Moers of Horn Lake, MS, Jessica Moers of Horn Lake, MS and Gwendolyn Lenox of Somerset, KY; two brothers, Thomas Williams of Fort Wright, KY, and Paul Williams of Cincinnati, OH and many beloved nephews and nieces.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheri Louise Williams who died in infancy, three sisters, Jocie Williams Barnes, Lois Williams Coomer, and Opal Williams Jasper, and one brother, F. Eugene Wright.
Charles is a member of the Somerset First Baptist Church, and he is also a World War II Army Vetera. He retired from the Placid Oil Company as a Petroleum Geologist and while being actively employed by Placid, he has had the opportunity to travel all over the world.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the Somerset First Baptist Church with Dr. Guy Futral and Dr. French Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Bishop Family Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Charles Albert Williams will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home and after 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the Somerset First Baptist Church until after services.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideons Memorial Bible Plan.
