Lois Bryant Newell

Lois Bryant Newell, daughter of the late Harvey L. and Alma Saunders Bryant, was born on October 16, 1922 and she departed this life on Tuesday, April 01, 2008 having attained the age of 85 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. William O. Newell on November 6, 1943 in Pueblo, Colorado, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include the following nephews and nieces, Glenn Moody of Tateville, KY, Ann (and Roger) Hollars of Somerset, KY, Joe (and Libby) Newell of Somerset, KY, Frankie (and Linville) Coldiron, Judy (and Don) Tarter, Becky (and Johnny) Hines, one brother-in-law, Tom Moody of Tateville, KY, one grand nephew, Sam Hollars of Lexington, KY, one grand niece, Amanda (and Robbie) Tindall of Louisville, KY, several other nephews and nieces as well as the following special friends, Allen Price, and Janet Stricklin, and special caresgivers, Tonya Hobbs and Nancy Belcher. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred " Midge" Moody. Lois was a homemaker, and a Charter Member of the Grace Baptist Church of Somerset, she was a member of the Senior Ladies of Grace Sunday School Class. When she was younger, she attended Shopville High School. She was a kind person who will be missed by those who knew her, she leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who both mourn her passing and celebrate her homegoing. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Grace Baptist Church, with Rev. Bill Haynes officiating. Entombment to follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. The family of Mrs. Lois B. Newell will receive friends at the church from 9:00 a.m. Friday morning at the Grace Baptist Church until after services. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Grace Baptist Church Building Fund and / or Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be asked to take charge of the final arrangements of Mrs. Lois B. Newell.
