Marjorie Boone

Marjorie Boone, age 89, of Ferguson, KY passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. She was born August 26, 1923 in Ferguson, KY, the daughter of the late Samuel and Mae Doolin Sexton. Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by; one brother, Charles Sexton; one sister-in-law, Nell Sexton; three sisters, Stella Marie Holloway, Roberta Newell, and Arlene Schultian; and one - brother-in-law, Claude Persell. Marjorie is survived by; her husband of 67 years, Thomas Harold Boone; two sisters, Wanda Persell, and Margaret (and Dallas) Hafley; two brothers, James (and Barbara) Sexton, Pat (and Fayrene) Sexton, and two brothers-in-law, James Holloway, and Harold Newell. Marjorie is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews and she was a mother to them all. After graduating from Ferguson High School, Marjorie attended Rogers Business School. She also worked at the Ration Board and the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office where she retired in 1986 after 40 years of employment. Marjorie was a lifelong member of the Ferguson Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for 66 years and was a member of the church Choir for 61 years. Funeral services for Marjorie Boone will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Moore and Bro. Ira Singleton officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Somerset Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Marjorie Boone will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 until time for services. In Lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Ferguson Baptist Church Building Fund.
