Arnetta Beulah Painter Norman passed away on April 13, 2013. She was born July 13, 1938 to Owen and Ellen Painter of Sissonville, West Virginia. She was united in marriage to Mr. Leon Norman on December 11, 1959.
Three children blessed this union; Melinda (and Robert) Messenger of Wasilla, Alaska, Douglas Norman and his girlfriend Paula of Labelle, Florida and Mechelle (and Christopher) Nash of Fairbanks, Alaska; one grandson, Sean also of Wasilla, Alaska; three granddaughters, Lauren, Hannah and Maggie. Also surviving are numerous siblings, nephews and nieces who reside in Ohio and West Virginia.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband after 38 years of marriage.
She and her husband moved to Alaska in 1977 from Atlanta, Georgia. They lived there until 1992 when they retired to Somerset, Kentucky. Her family grew even larger due to her activities in New Comer’s Club and bowling, they were more than friends, they were family. The staff of the Neighborhood of Somerset became very close friends with her during her extended stay in that facility. The family of Arnetta Norman would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have done so much for the family during this time.
Funeral services for Mrs. Arnetta Beulah Painter Norman will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Chaplin Greg Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mrs. Arnetta Norman will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503 or the American Heart Association.
