Ms. Evelyn Carol Renfro Knowles

Ms. Carol Renfro Knowles, 65, of Somerset, Kentucky, formerly of McCreary County, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at her residence in Somerset, Kentucky. She was born on January 4, 1948 in Alamogordo, New Mexico, the daughter of Marie Neal Renfro, and the late George Vestal Renfro. She was a United States Navy Veteran and she enjoyed working with crafts and making hand crafted jewelry and working in her flowers. She is survived by her mother; one son, Kevin Mark (and Sherry) Ellmore; one grandson, Zack Ellmore all of Spring, Texas; three sisters, Catherine (and Milton) Bayer, Susan Collins, and Sharon Burnett, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; three half sisters, Joyce (and Clayton) Barnett, Georgia (and Robert) Keith and Reda (and Ronald) Bennett; and two half brothers, George (and Brenda) Renfro, and Tommy (and Beverly) Renfro, all of Parkers Lake, Kentucky and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews and a very special caretaker, Carlotta Thompson. Other than her father, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Valerie Jean Renfro. Funeral services for Carol Renfro Knowles will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Chaplin Greg Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery at Nancy, Kentucky. The family of Ms. Carol Renfro Knowles will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home on Tuesday Morning April 16, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until time for services. In Lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Pulaski Funeral Home to aid the family with final expenses.
