Lois E. Mize

Lois E. Mize, daughter of the late Lloyd G. and Lucy Wilson Alexander Phelps, was born in Pulaski County, KY on September 29, 1938 and she departed this life on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 in Somerset, having attained the age of 69 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. L.V. Mize on August 14, 1959 in Somerset, KY he survives. Other survivors include two brothers, Vernon (and Charlott) Phelps of Cincinnati, OH. and Glenn (and Sonya) Phelps of Somerset, KY; one sister, Beulah Baugh of Somerset, KY; one nephew, Anthony (and Melissa) Phelps of Somerset, KY; four nieces, Julia (and Terry) Johnson of Tallahassee, FL, Becky (and Doug) Richards of Somerset, KY, Debbie (and Patrick) Bell of Monticello, KY, and Amy (and Jonathon) Jordan of Lily, KY. and several great nieces and nephews. Other that her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Estep. Lois was a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church for 59 years, and she was a retired seamstress from Palm Beach Manufacturing. She was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Don Branscum officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Lois Mize will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2008. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
