Mr. Albert S. Hall of Somerset, Kentucky, formerly of Richmond, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Richmond, Kentucky on May 21, 1923. Albert Hall was the son of William and Anna Sparks Hall of Richmond, Kentucky. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a Deacon at Rosedale Baptist Church in Richmond, Kentucky and a Deacon of Beacon Hill Baptist Church in Somerset, Kentucky.
He is survived by the love of his life, Lona M. Bowlin Hall. He has four daughters; Joanne (RC) Story of Somerset, Kentucky; Judy L. (Bobby) Cates of Richmond, Kentucky; Vickie (Gary) Roberts of Somerset, Kentucky and one deceased daughter, Joyce F. Hughes. Her husband, Dan Hughes survives. Three grandchildren, Bryan P. (Glenna) Baker of Richmond, Kentucky, Kim (Mike) Strehl of Somerset, Kentucky and Steve (Eva) Hughes of Tampa, Florida, and one sister, Odella Kelley of Richmond, Kentucky.
He has five great grandchildren; Bobby Cole Baker, and Haley Jo Baker both of Richmond, Kentucky, Sarah Joyce Strehl, Joshua Thomas Strehl and Joseph Michael Strehl all of Somerset, Kentucky.
He worked at the United States Army Depot in Richmond, Kentucky for many years and he retired form Edward Don and Company in June of 1985. Mr. Hall was a dedicated sportsman. He loved fishing, boating, hunting and of course spending quality time with his family.
Other than his parents and daughter, he is also preceded in death by; two brothers, Raymond and J.W. Hall. He loved family, community, wildlife and preservation of woodlands, especially trees. He was a supportive, caring, nurturing husband and father.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Dr. John Mark Toby and Rev. Butch Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mr. Albert S. Hall will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the” Together We Build” Fund in care of the Beacon Hill Baptist Church.
