Marie Cromer

April 23, 1922 — February 26, 2013

Mrs. Marie Cromer, daughter of the late Charlie and Dollie French Doan, was born at Luner, Kentucky on Sunday, April 23, 1922 and she departed this life in the presence of her family on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 having attained the age of 90 years. On February 9, 1938, she was united in marriage to Mr. James Robert (Bob) Cromer, he preceded her in death on April 9, 2009. Survivors include; one son, James Robert, Jr. (and Janet) Cromer; five daughters, June (and Bob ) Stokes, Shirley Madden, Betty (and Jack) Lair, Donna (and Roy) Tincher, and Judy (and Steve) Gressmire all of Somerset, Kentucky; ten grandchildren, Larry Stokes, Lisa Wright, Paul Jones, Robert Jones, Jr, Diana Hyden, David Lair, James Robert Cromer III, Brad Jones, Brock Jones, and Brandon Keith; eleven great grandchildren, Emily Pannell, Erin Ketron, Samantha Criswell, Maggie Sears, Haley Sears, Matthew Sears, Justin Cromer, Lindsey Sears, Taylor Marie Hyden and Kate and Leiah Jones; and three great great grandchildren, Daniel Robert Ketron, Sarah Grace Pannell, and Hunter Criswell and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing and celebrate her homegoing. Other than her parents, and husband, she was also preceded in death by; four brothers, Walter, Walker, Delbert and Charles Junior Doan; and one sister, Vertie Whitaker. Marie was a member of the Fist Church of God and in later years attended the Lake Cumberland Church of the Nazarene, she was a kind, christian lady who will be missed by all who knew her and called her a friend. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Seth Tidball officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Marie Cromer will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 until time for services. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
