Obituary for Anna L. Abbott
Anna L. Abbott, daughter of the late Arthur and Stella Rose Sears, was born on July 21, 1932 in White Lily, KY and she departed this life on Friday, February 29, 2008 in Somerset, KY having attained the age of 75 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Silas R. Abbott, he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Abbott (and his fiancée; Crystal Snow) of Science Hill, KY, Frank Abbott (and his fiancée; April King) of Lexington, KY; three daughters, Elizabeth Abbott Young (and Robert Gibson) of White Lily, KY, Etta Mae (and James) Bolin of Somerset, KY, and Martha (and Richard) Mounce of Somerset, KY; three sisters, Ruby Chumbley of Adair County, KY, Betty Cartwright of Dayton, OH, and Martha Ridner of Somerset, KY; one brother, Hobert Sears of White Lily, KY; fourteen grandchildren, Richard Keith Abbott, Jenifer Baker, Valerie Sharp, Donavan Anthony Abbott, Summer Snow, James Lee Bolen, Cecil Eugene Mounce, Ernest Eugene Young, Ashley, Robert Dale and Lydia Gibson, Steven James Abbott, Jeanie Marie Abbott Chumbley and Donald Townson; six great grandchildren, Makaila and Melania Baker, Skylar and Bradley Sharp and Autumn and Nicholas Chumbley as well as a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Other than her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by; one son, Silas Abbott, Jr. and several brothers and sisters.
Anna was a homemaker and a member of the White Lily Baptist Church. She was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at the Pulaski Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008 with Rev. Ernest Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the White Lily Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Anna L. Abbott will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Pulaski Funeral Home.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Anna L. Abbott memorial fund in care of Pulaski Funeral Home.
