Clifford Jay Sears the son of the late Lewis and Emlie Smotherman Sears was born in Pulaski County on December 12 1918 and departed this life on February 27, 2008 at his home in Somerset having attained the age of 89years. Clifford was a construction worker for Hinkle contracting corp. a US Army veteran of WWII and a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon He was married to Lura Alice Sears she survives, he is also survived by 4 daughters; Joann (Gene) Epperson, Judi Sears, Barb (Bill) Smith, Debra (Jimmy) Creech-Cook. all of Somerset. One brother; Vernon (Martha) Sears, Indiana three grand sons Charles Hughes, Derick Creech, Brent Creech all of Somerset Two grand daughters Sandra Burkett Lexington and Stephanie New, Somerset. seven great-grand children; Jared, Megan, Ryan, Kent, Benjamin, Brevin, Briley, and by several special care givers. Clifford was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers Louie, Herman and Clinton Sears.. Funeral service will be held at the Pulaski Funeral Home on Saturday March 1st 2008 with Bro. Sam Adkins officiating and Military Honors by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard, burial to follow in the Sears Cemetery. The Family of Clifford Jay Sears will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm. Friday February 29, 2008. The family request that expressions of symphony take the form of donations to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of arrangements
