Mr. Cecil Webb Pippin, son of the late Nathan Junior and Margie Mae Cook Pippin, was born on October 7, 1954 in Provo, Utah and raised in Panama City, Florida. He departed this life on Monday, January 28, 2013 in Somerset, KY having attained the age of 58 years.
He was united in marriage to Sue Kirby Pippin on May 27, 1995 in Somerset, KY, she survives. Other survivors include a step-son, Chad Bennett (and Jessica Faulkner); a step-daughter, Courtney (and Chris) Girdler; two grandchildren, Seth Bennett and Charleston Girdler all of Somerset, Kentucky; the following brothers, Joseph “Junior” Pippin, Roy (Michelle) Pippin, Troy Pippin, Donnie (and Sharon)) Pippin, Larry “Early” (and Beth) Pippin, one sister, Patricia Pippin and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by; two brothers, Ray and Roger Pippin.
Cecil was a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer from the U. S. Navy. He enjoyed listening to uplifting gospel music, and held his faith and his family very dear. He was a kind person who will be missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Cecil Webb Pippin will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Dr. French Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 38.
The family of Mr. Cecil Webb Pippin will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013.
