Sue F. Dykes

Ms. Sue F. Dykes of Somerset, KY, was born on February 6, 1944 and she departed this life on Monday, February 11, 2008 having attained the age of 64 years after a four year battle with breast cancer. She is the daughter of Imogene Thrasher Dykes and the late Rev. James J. Dykes. Her special companion of 21 years was Bobby Dee Hood, along with his three children and grandchildren. Other survivors include one daughter, Angela G. Spaw of Bronston, KY; three grandchildren; Ashley Boyd Spaw of Ferguson, KY, Heather Smittle of Bronston, KY and Deavin Fields of Bronston, KY. Her only grandchild; Kaleb Grey Boyd of Ferguson, KY; two brothers, Roger (and Sherry) Dykes of Deming, New Mexico and Richard (and Vickie) Dykes of Georgetown, KY; two sisters, Linda K. (and Gib) Gosser of Somerset, KY and Rosemary (and Roy) Warren of Georgetown, KY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews who mourn her passing. Preceding her in death were two brothers, Bobby and Sammy Dykes,. Ms. Dykes was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2. Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives and friends who were blessed by her unselfish and loving ways and who mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14th, 2008 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. David Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Poplarville, KY. The family of Ms. Sue Dykes will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be asked to take charge of all funeral arrangements for Ms. Sue Dykes.
