Raymond Simpson

Mr. Raymond Simpson of Somerset was born in Pulaski county on October 14, 1924 the son of the late Virgil and Navada Waddle Simpson and he departed this life on Sunday January 13,2013 having attained the age of 88 years. He was married to Anna Rogers Simpson for 57 years, she survives, he is also survived by two children: Roger (Jodie) Simpson of Hayes Virginia, and Judy Dalton (Michael) of Somerset , Six Grandchildren; Russell Simpson, Clayton Dalton, Christopher Dalton, Jordan Simpson, Jillian Simpson and Cassidy Dalton. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents , a son: Dudley Simpson and two brothers; R.C. and Albert Simpson. Mr. Simpson was an employee and manager of the American Water Co in Somerset for over 33 years, a member of the Rock Lick Baptist Church and a WWII Veteran of the United States Marines. He leaves behind a host of family and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 15, 2013 at the Rock Lick Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Chuck Pollard Officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Lick Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by American legion post #38 . The family of Raymond Simpson will receive friends from11:00 a.m. Tuesday January 15,2013 until time for services at the Rock Lick Baptist Church.
