Hobert Lee Epperson

Mr. Hobert Lee Epperson, age 90 of Somerset, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2012 at his home. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky to the late Willie and Beatrice Epperson on March 1, 1922. He was preceded in death by his wife Etta Florine Masters Epperson and two brother-in-laws; Leonard Harmon and Dewey Hammond. He is survived by four daughters, Ruth Ann (and John) Sandidge of Stearns, KY; Joyce (and Dwight) Faulkner, Kathy Epperson, and Suzy (and Chris) Gholson all of Somerset; grandchildren Michael (and Suzanne) Sandidge of Stearns, KY; Laura (and Steve) Salzman of Keller, TX; Wesley (and Nikki) Wheeldon of Columbus, IN; Chandler Gholson; Natasha (and Jason) Stevens; and Autumn (and Justin) Richardson all of Somerset; great grandchildren Tate Sandidge; Trent Harrisonn; Anna, Lily, and Clara Salzman; Gabriella and Parker Wheeldon; Olivia and Owen Stevens; and River Richardson. He is also survived by two brothers Eugene (and Joann) Epperson and Edgar (and Christine) Epperson; both of Somerset; two sisters Kathryn Harmon of Somerset, and Doris Hammond of Salem, IN and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church where he loved to deliver taped sermons to those unable to attend church, and he especially loved to make rice krispie treats for the Awana group and all other church and family events. He served in the US Navy from 1942-1946 as an Aviation Machinist Mate First Class and was retired dairy farmer. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Kinman and Bro. Slade Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mr. Hobert Lee Epperson will receive friends on Friday, December 28, 2012 after 4 p.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund and/or Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Hobert Lee Epperson.
