Mr. Stanley Mounce

Stanley C. Mounce went to his home in heaven December 24th, 2012. He was born July 4th, 1955 in the White Lily Community to Edward and Caroline Mounce. Stanley was a beloved husband, devoted father, and paw-pa. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Ruby Kaye Mounce whom he married on June 18, 1976. From this union they were blessed with three sons; Scott Mounce, Josh Mounce (and his wife Kendra), and Tyler “T.J.” Mounce; one grandchild, who was the love of his life for the past three years, Caroline Grace Mounce. He is survived by his father Edward Mounce, five sisters; Cheryl Mounce, Alice Mounce, Kim (and James) Weaver, Patricia (and Ray) Tomlison, and Pam (and Frank) Meece, and four brothers; Phillip (and Louise) Meece, Kenny (and Pam) Mounce, Danny (and Donna) Mounce, and Lyndon Mounce; and sisters-in-law, Zena (and Tony) Phelps, Wilma Dykes, Retha Tomlison; Brothers-in-law, Chelbie (and Lona) Tomlison, and Danny Tomlison; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews of whom he loved all very dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother Caroline Mounce, his mother-in law Ruby Tomlison, his father-in-law Oather Tomlison, brother-in-law Jim Dykes, and his nephew Dewayne Meece. He was the owner of Mounce Concrete Finishing; a family owned and operated business for the past 25 years. Prior to this, he was also an employee of Ready Mix Concrete and the City of Somerset. He was a volunteer firefighter (Former Fire Chief(C-12)) for White Lily Fire Department for over 25 years and a member of the Pulaski County Rescue Squad. He was a recent member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was a past member of Malvin Hill Baptist Church where he also served in many different positions. He loved his family, his church family, his work family, and his community. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and doing mission work. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of a donation in the name of Stanley Mounce to Brazil Mission in the care Wal da Silva 34 Leras Way, Somerset, Kentucky, 42501. Honorary pall bearers will be Steve Dykes and Marshall Taylor, longtime employees of Mounce Concrete Finishing. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Gilbert Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Malvin Hill Cemetery. The family of Mr. Stanley Mounce will be available at the funeral home to receive friends after 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time for services. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Stanley Mounce.
