Mrs. Millie (Brinson) Meece went to her heavenly home on December 4, 2012. She had been blessed to reach the age of 89 years. Millie was born August 3, 1923 to the late Charlie and Florence (Brinson) Brinson in Colo, KY. She was united in marriage to Mr. Frank Meece in May of 1946, he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son; Bro. Charles Meece and his wife Frances; one daughter, Debbie and her husband Darrell Sears; tow grandchildren, Monica ( and Billy ) Duncan and Derrick (and Joyce) Sears; one sister, Minnie Kenney; two sisters-in-law, Beulah Brinson and Lana Brinson;; one brother-in-law, Ray Erp and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by; two grandchildren, April Sears and Adrian Meece; two brothers, Homer and Noel Brinson; and three sisters, Ola Sears, Bertie Erp and Rutha Phelps.
She was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church and she taught Sunday school for more than 50 years at Colo, Clay Hill and Piney Grove Baptist Churches. She was a kind Christian lady who will be missed by all who knew her, she leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who both mourn her passing and celebrate her home going.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Butte officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay Hill Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Millie Meece will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
