Mrs. Faye Hargis, daughter of the late Raymond and Reatha Alexander Sears, was born April 11, 1930 in Pulaski County, KY and she departed this life on Saturday, December 1, 2012 having attained the age of 82 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Donald Eugene Hargis on December 23, 1950 in Somerset, KY. He preceded her in death. Survivors include; one daughter, Cathy (and David) True of Somerset, KY; one brother, Samuel (and Diana) Sears of Somerset, KY; one sister, Helen (and Woody) Kelley of Somerset, KY; 5 grandchildren, Anthony W. “Tony” DePrato II, Jeremy Daniel “J. D.” DePrato, Jennifer Sheets, Suzannah Reed, and Natalie Brown; 7 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by; three brothers, Charles Lee Sears, Raymond Sears, Jr., and Earl Don Sears who died in infancy; and one sister, Ruth Etta Mounce. Faye was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, and she was retired from Palm Beach Manufacturing where she gave more than 43 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Gilbert Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Faye Hargis will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home form 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Faye Hargis.
