Shirley M. Plants

Mrs. Shirley M. Plants, age 76, of Somerset, Kentucky, daughter of the late Grace (Saunders) and John Church was born on September 10, 1936 in Grayson, Kentucky and departed this life on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at her residence in the presence of her family. Other than her parents Shirley was preceded in death by one daughter: Laura Jane Plants, one sister: Jane George McArthur Ohio, and six brothers: Jack, Johnny, Everett, Ray, Sam and Rex Church. Shirley is survived by one son: Rocky Eugene (and Barbara Wells) Plants of Somerset, Kentucky, one daughter: Grace Annette (and Kenneth Dale) Mayfield of Somerset, Kentucky, two brothers: Gary (and Della) Church of Union, Ohio and James (and Betty) Church of Vandillia, Ohio. Shirley also leaves behind nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends who all mourn her passing. Shirley was a homemaker and a member of the Pitman Creek Baptist Church. She was kind and loving person and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Private services were held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Shirley M. Plants.
